Ankita Dhillon

About

The first designer at a company that went from ₹2 Cr to ₹118 Cr - while I was there.

I joined Falcon as employee #12, when it was twelve people building India's banking-as-a-service stack from scratch. Three years later: ₹118 Cr revenue, ~60× growth from the ₹2 Cr we started at, a Series A raise, an NPCI partnership, and zero client churn across four years. I was the sole designer through all of it.

My work isn't slideware. KVB - a 108-year-old bank - launched three credit card variants on flows I designed: 9,608 active cards, 56,994 monthly transactions, ₹54.9 Cr+ in monthly transaction value. Jana Small Finance Bank's Credit Line on UPI - one of India's first live CLOU deployments - went public in June 2025, with Paytm as payment partner at 98% API readiness. It runs on screens I shipped. Both were presented at Global Fintech Fest 2024, Asia's largest fintech conference.

I own product design end-to-end across six verticals: retail and corporate credit cards, Credit Line on UPI, savings, FD, prepaid, and gift cards - for 50,000+ end users across native apps, dashboards, and partner portals.

Tijori - the design system

I built Tijori from the ground up - Falcon's production design system, spanning all six verticals. It cut component duplication by ~60% and held design consistency as the org scaled from 12 to 87 people across engineering, product, and business teams.

Operational UX

Falcon's internal ops team was navigating 6 product verticals through a dashboard built for 3. I ran 8 moderated usability sessions with operations managers, identified the top 4 task flows driving the highest abandonment, and redesigned the information architecture ground-up. Post-launch measurement showed a 40% reduction in time-on-task for the most frequent ops workflows. Endorsed by C-suite for org-wide rollout. The same ops infrastructure now supports 96% report automation and zero reconciliation issues across 3 consecutive months - Falcon's delivery record in FY26.

Compliance design

Indian credit regulation doesn't negotiate. KYC has mandatory steps. KFS consent has prescribed formats. UPI mandates have hard confirmation requirements. The design problem is never whether to include them - it's how to sequence them so users complete rather than abandon. Across CLOU, FD-backed credit, and card onboarding, I've shipped compliant flows with measurably lower drop-off by treating each regulatory checkpoint as a design constraint, not a handcuff.

Before Falcon

At Internshala, a structured A/B testing programme across 8 funnel variants drove a 15% lift in premium conversions across a 6M+ user base - validated with Mixpanel, not eyeballed. At Kite, designed enterprise SaaS workflows for corporate expense management and virtual card issuance, cutting approval turnaround by 30% through a role-based ops dashboard built for finance teams at companies including Dunzo.

Takes complete ownership of her work. Her planning and prioritisation are excellent.

Ankita is one of the strongest team players. At Internshala she was responsible for planning the roadmap, assigning designers, leading the major projects on the student side, and mentoring other designers directly. A great learning experience to work with her.
